Richa Neupane is an Organizer at Udhesya: Girls in STEM and a Fellow at Teach for Nepal. In past, Richa was also Communication Associate at Code For Nepal. After finishing her undergraduate in International Studies from Minnesota State University Moorhead, Richa joined Teach for Nepal and taught at a public school in Sindhupalchok, Nepal for two years. This experience deepened her understanding of the needs of the communities in Nepal. She first volunteered for Code for Nepal in 2015 during the post-earthquake response. This showed her the impact she could make in people’s lives virtually through Code for Nepal. She continued volunteering as the communications associate for a year. After having worked at the policy level in the education ministry’s education commission and at the grassroots level in the classrooms, Richa is now back in the team to navigate the world of technology for an inclusive and equitable future of Nepali society. She is also the co-founder of Udeshya: Girls in STEM, an initiative to increase exposure and knowledge of adolescent girls interested in STEM fields.
Richa is going to speak at the Internal YET Conference 2019 about Digital Literacy. As digital literacy is the must have knowledge audience will get much benefit from her 20 minute talk.
